Strategy and research

DEFINING problems and ESTABLISHING solutions with institutions, GOVERNMENTS, private sector and NGOs.

Priority areas are the energy transition - critical minerals, non-traditional national security and humanitarian response.

Artios developed a bespoke R3 Labs research approach to optimise the development of evidence informed Strategy and Research to understand, monitor and evaluate global issues.

R3 Labs serves as a platform for all our research work, providing cohesion between Artios’ global pool of Subject Matter Experts associates and local networks in key regions.

R3 Labs drives Artios' evidence-informed, intelligence-led approach and encompasses:

  • Risk Management

  • Technology enabled, applied Research

  • Evaluation of Results

R3 Labs outlines a phased and iterative approach, emphasising scalability, third-party monitoring and impartiality for discerning clients.

We employ industry frameworks to present results such as CIRCA, OECD DAC Criteria, Results Based Management, PEA and Outcome Mapping. Products are designed to communicate to technical and non- technical audiences.

Artios operates through an Integrated Management System (IMS), with RLabs at its core.

R3 Labs connects seamlessly to our ISO 9001 IMS to drive continuous improvement and assure reliable products.

Collaborating with Queens University, Belfast, since 2018, supported by Innovate UK funding, Artios ensures conceptual rigor in our work. Our innovation focus for 2023-25 is elevated through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Queens, incorporating automation and augmentation of analytics/AI into Stabilisation projects and programming for the UK Government, and in the efficiency of products for Mine Action, UXO Risk Management.

Artois’ work has shaped policy, influenced investments and defined practices for the energy transition - critical minerals, non-traditional national security and humanitarian response.
