WHO WE ARE
ARTIOS is a British and Irish managed consultancy operating globally. Our name is derived from the founders’ Celtic roots referencing the god ‘artio’ who represented creative, bold and emergent actions.
We have imported the best skills, training and experience from international institutions (UN, AU, EU), Multi-Nationl Corporations, academia, militaries and governments to form a team of consultants who are technically astute, operationally robust and also appreciate the context of conflict and crises.
The senior management lead this team with over 15 years of executive level experience on government (UK,US), commercial (Tech,Media) and NGO contracts. This combined experience and skillset enables ARTIOS to operate with confidence in Fragile & Conflict Affected States and Crises as human security and stabilisation specialists.
ARTIOS operates in English and we have consultants with business proficiency in Arabic, French, Kiswahili, Somali, Spanish and Mandarin.

Dave is an Information and Strategy expert who has delivered humanitarian aid, media projects and influence operations in more than 50 countries. He is a keen analyst with research interests in International Security & Affairs and champions technology integration for evidence based decision making. He holds a First Class, Strategy and Diplomacy MSc from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a Communications Engineering BEng from Cranfield University and Executive Education from Manchester Business School. His personal life is equally adventurous as a member of the Alpine Club and as a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

Mike has delivered cutting edge explosive hazard mitigation projects and operations in remote and high threat locations throughout the world. With extensive experience in the humanitarian mine action and commercial security risk management sectors, Mike completed four operational tours of duty as an IED disposal operator, both in Northern Ireland and Afghanistan. In 2014 he was awarded the Queen’s Gallantry Medal for this work, while commercially, Mike led the first project to search and dispose of IEDs in areas of Iraq liberated from Da’esh (ISIS). He has a BEng from Cranfield University in Mechanical Engineering and is a member of the Institute of Explosive Engineers. In his free time he is an accomplished and enthusiastic climber and mountaineer.
OPERATIONS SUPPORT & Governance
Genevieve provides Business Management support to understand and deliver our People and Organisational Development. She has 7 years experience in the UK charity sector, focusing on strategic planning, budgeting, risk management, project management, performance monitoring and reporting.
Rory provides specialist support to understand and deliver compliance requirements for Artios business opportunities. He has worked in the public sector for over 10 years from schools and local councils to regulation in the energy sector. During this time he has worked with UK Government departments to draft GB energy market policy and legislation and lobby for its implementation.
Our board provide technical, ethical and business oversight to all Artios delivers. It is made up of a team from across industry with backgrounds in:
Private Equity, Humanitarianism, Supplier Risk Management and Academic Research.
Our team has a balanced mix of males and females representing 8 nationalities across Europe, Africa, N America and the Middle East.
